Adnan Aminu Adnan is an agricultural researcher, academic, and consultant with over 15 years’ experience in the agricultural sector in Nigeria, Ghana, Niger, Afghanistan and Belgium. He is also experienced in starting up and managing agri-businesses. Over the years, he has worked in the Agricultural industry (Jubaili Agrotech and Notore Chemical Industries Ltd), research (KU Leuven, Centre for Dryland Agriculture and IITA) and Academics (Michael Okpara College of Agriculture and Bayero University Kano). Adnan has consulted for many National and International organisations including IITA, ICRISAT, DFID, EPTISA, IFDC, BMGF and Hakar Engineering.
Adnan had his PhD in Bio-Science Engineering from the Department of Soil and Water Management, in the Faculty of Bio-Science Engineering of University of Leuven (KU Leuven), Belgium in 2019. Prior to that, he had his Masters in Agronomy from the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Bayero University Kano in 2011. His B.Sc. was from the Biological Sciences Department of Faculty of Science, University of Maiduguri in 2005. In addition, he has attended numerous short course trainings, including the prestigious Decision Support Systems for Agrotechnology Transfer (DSSAT) Training in University of Georgia, USA in 2014 and the training in Fundamentals of Crop Physiology in a Changing World, conducted at the Wageningen University of Research, Ede, Netherlands in 2018.
