Dantata Foods & Allied Products Limited is a Nigerian company based in Kano. It is involved primarily in the manufacturing, construction, export and distribution of agroallied products, and the distribution of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). In addition to these, the company is involved in the production and packaging of food & beverages. Incorporated in 2005 to deal in agricultural products for exports and local distribution, Dantata Foods has over the years diversified its portfolio of business interests and activities. The office in Kano looks after the company’s sales and marketing efforts locally and internationally, in addition to overseeing the importation, exportation, clearing and transportation of products across Nigeria. Dantata Foods is a major player in the export of grains from Nigeria with a solid reputation amongst export and local buyers, market traders, and farmers, particularly for groundnut. The belief of the company is that commodities’ export, which is one of our major areas of business, has a long history in Nigeria and the company foresees an even brighter and longer future. The long-term investment and plans of the company indicate that a positive and continuous growth in the sector is expected over the coming years. The major export commodities include:

In order to have any significant impact in the trading of agricultural commodities, substantial warehousing a prerequisite due to the bulky nature of the products. Dantata Foods has invested heavily in storage facilities and therefore has an abundance of warehouse space at its disposal. Because of this Dantata Foods is able to meet its customers’ demands especially in the areas of price stability, range of products, adequate stock levels, and superior quality. This has been a key strength of the company over the years and is continuously being improved. Over the years, Dantata Foods has also invested on high tech machinery that enables it to process goods for customers, giving them the best qualities required. For instance, the sesame seeds cleaning plant has the capacity to clean up to 60 tons of grains per day. Other equipment found in the company’s factory include Rice Hull Removal and Bagging Machine, Grain Cleaning/Sorting/Bagging Machine, Groundnut Pressing Machine, Solvent Extraction Unit, Feed Mill, and others. Dantata Foods previously ran one of the foremost sesame seeds cleaning establishments in Dawanau with a reputation for honesty, integrity, and efficiency. The machines clean the seeds to the highest standards with a zero percent rejection rate by port inspection agencies such as SGS. Dantata Foods and Allied Products Limited has robust operations dealing with FMCG products such as sugar, flour, cooking oils, and other popular household and grocery items. The company has built up relations with some of the big producers of these items in Nigeria and also with international companies. Dantata Foods has a strong distribution network which allows its products to reach its customers in good time. The company has a fleet of vehicles that help the marketing team in meeting the needs of numerous customers within Nigeria. For international distribution, the company is currently partnering with freight and forwarding agencies in Kano, Lagos and Calabar. The company has recently rolled out an expansion strategy to harness the existing opportunities in Nigeria’s livestock industry, with a target to establish the biggest meat factory and other dairy products in selected northern states of Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa and Niger.
